The Thai Herbal Compress ball (Herbal Ball) made from various dried herbs wrapped in cotton traditionally used in Thai medicine. The herbal ball is made of Muslim cloth filled with a combination of medicinal herbs native of Thailand; such as lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, kaffir , lime and other aromatic plants.
The Thai herbal compress ball is steamed until hot. At a comfortable heat level and then the herbal ball is applied on your skin. The massage practitioner uses the warm herbal ball in your massage treatment by applying techniques; such as , rolling , dabbing and rocking motion to your body.
The heat from the compress helps to increase circulation, relax muscles, and reduce tension in the body. The aromatic herbs used in the compress also have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which can help to alleviate pain and reduce swelling.
