Aromatherapy Wonderful Uses Part 1

When I was first introduced to Aromatherapy I discovered a whole new world of healing with magical essential oils.      Essential oils can make a positive impact on someone’s health and well-being.

How does it work – When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and especially impact the amygdala, the emotional centre of the brain. Essential oils can also be absorbed by the skin. Pairing just a few drops to a massage, they can help to enhance the mind and body and in doing so perhaps they can lift the spirit too. 

Today I share with you my top pick of the season.   ORANGE 

For aromatherapy massage apply cheerful Orange to hands, Petitgrain on sore muscles and Neroli for facial.  

Orange aroma has a zesty and refreshing citrus fragrance.  If you ever feel like you need a pick me up put it in your diffuser and enjoy its aroma smell filling up the room.

Features- Tree different essential oils – Orange from the peel, Neroli from white flowers and Petitgrain from the leaves.

Mind- Spreads a little sunshine on gloomy thoughts and depression. Dispels tension and stress, encouraging a positive outlook. Reviving when feeling bored and lacking in energy.

Body– Calming action on stomach. Balancing gastric complaints like diarrhea and constipation. Stimulates bile. Aids absorption of vitamin C, which action could ward off viral infections.

Helps with the formation of collagen, vital for growth and repair of body tissues. Beneficial to insomnia brought on by anxiety. Bringing down high levels of cholesterol in the blood.

Great for skin, effective with dry skin, wrinkles and dermatitis.
